Our Children's Centre is open to all families but for certain activities priority is given to families within the WH5 area.  Please click on the link below to find out which is your local Children's Centre:

Monday

Messy Mondays
1.15pm - 2.30pm
Held at LUDWICK FAMILY CLUB, Hall Grove. Messy play, music and movement for children aged 0-4 yrs with their parents and carers. Refreshments are provided.

  

Tuesday

Positive Beginnings (weekly)
9.15am-10.45am
Stay & Play session with Early Years Practitioner to offer advice and answer any questions or concerns.  Activities include art and craft, outdoor play, messy play and Rhyme Time. Speech and Language Therapist Leanne Mann will be attending on
8th May, 12th June, 26th June, 10th July and 24th July.

Little Sunshines (weekly)
1.15-2.30pm
A friendly and relaxed group for carers and their babies aged 0-12 months. A chance for you to meet others whilst enjoying a cuppa. Baby Rhyme Time at the end of each session. Mums-to-be welcome too! Just turn up.

Wednesday

'2 or More' Multiple Birth Group (Last Wednesday of the Month)
10.30am - 12.00pm
Share your experiences with other parents and carers of twins and triplets (and quads!).  A chance for you to meet others and swap ideas whilst your children play.  Fun activities for the children with Baby Rhyme Time at the end of each session.  'Parents-to-be' very welcome!  Just turn up.

 

Thursday  

Baby/Child Health Clinic (weekly)
12pm-1pm
Get your baby weighed and receive advice from the NHS Health Team on various matters including sleeping, eating and achieving milestones through this drop-in service.

Positive Beginnings (weekly)
1-2.30pm
Stay & Play session with Early Years Practitioner available to offer advice and answer any questions or concerns. Activities include art and craft, outdoor play, messy play and Rhyme Time.

 

Friday

Childminders’ Drop-in (weekly)
9.15am -11am
Networking group for local Childminders and their children. New childminders are very welcome.

Buggycise (weekly)
9.30-10.30am
Meet at King George V Playing Fields (near the Pavilion). Increase your overall fitness level whilst enhancing your 'happy hormones'! Have fun exercising with friends in the fresh air. For parents/carers of children aged 0-4 years. Buggies not essential!

 

Saturdays

Wow, It's the Weekend
We run various activities on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays throughout the year, including 'The Big Stomp' (our woodland walk) and 'Stay and Play' held at the Children's Centre. This is an excellent way to meet other families especially if you are unable to attend activities during the week. Please call the office for more details.

Money Advice Unit
Following recent government cutbacks, Michelle will no longer visit the Centre on a monthly basis.  However, we will still have strong links and she can offer advice over the telephone regarding applications for various tax credits and benefits, and help with debt management.  Please speak to a member of staff for more information.
